Online mode of learning has come from really far. The past few years has seen a lot of technological advancements which have subsequently enabled easy online delivery of education. The speed of internet and continued innovations in the virtual learning environments has had a great positive impact on the education sector too. A majority of universities and business schools have now gone online. They have come up with MBA Online programs aimed at enabling anyone who wants to get this degree to do so without having to attend classes face to face. Some have even put much of their resources on the online program more than the traditional full time class since the online platform seems to attract more students. Ideally the full time program only allows some schools to have students enough for their physical classes only while the online classes have no maximum number. The MBA Online classes are characteristic of chat rooms for class discussions; downloadable course material; online submission of assignments; delivery of lessons through video streaming; etc. this makes both full time and online classes ideally the same.
Global view of employers on MBA online degrees
Although MBA Online degrees have received a warmer reception from employers, some of these degree holders are still facing significant hurdles in terms of seeking employment. The big issue here is that a number of employers still find it hard to believe the competitiveness, vigor, and quality of the online degree as compared to the full time one. Research has shown that there is still a good fraction of those who have reservations pertaining to the same. They base their arguments on the fact that face to face lessons encourage group projects that are vital for growth of a business student. They still doubt the seriousness that they online students may have displayed during their studies. The wrong assumption is that an online student may afford to lazy around since there is enough time to do so.
The good news for MBA Online degree holders and proponents is that the employers are quickly welcoming the idea after all. The prevalence of employers with these prejudices is becoming less and less day by day. More and more of these employers are becoming more open-minded. They have come to accept the fact that both full time and online degrees are of high quality, the only difference emanating from the mode of lesson delivery. If fact, there is the argument that online students do much more since they do a lot of research on their own as opposed to on-campus students who are very often spoon-fed by their instructors
On the current job market, most of the employers no-longer inquire into the mode through which a prospective candidate acquired the MBA Online degree. The only thing that seems to be of a great importance is the school you got it from. An online degree from reputable is good enough to earn you a job. It is now believed that even the online student can still get instructions fro the course instructor face to face though through video streaming. A student can still ask questions and the lecturer offers clarification on the spot. There are also online chat rooms where the discussion is made easy and real time even though they may not see each other.
