One thing that is common and obvious is having the right outerwear for your hunting experience and performance. Founding the right gear that helps you remain silent, dry and concealed, so you can be successful in your hunt. When looking at hunting gear, you need to choose the hunting clothing according to the weather conditions.

First of all, the bibs should slide quickly and quietly on and off. The bibs need to perform will in difficult conditions and it has to meet the balance between heavy duty and lightweight. They should also give you the freedom to move, especially in the knee area and back. You want to make sure they are heavy duty and long lasting since you will be sending a good amount of money getting a good pair of hunting bibs.

Second, depending on the weather finding a good pair of bibs that are insulated. That way you won't end up gaining to much weight and feeling bulky. You won't have to layer up as much the insulation will help keep you warm and make it easier to move around.

Third, making sure the hunting bibs are waterproof and breathable. It is no fun out hunting when you are sitting there all wet and cold. Having waterproof hunting bibs are important to any hunt, especially waterfowl hunting when those days start getting colder and the dog in coming in and out of the boat getting you all wet. A breathable pair of hunting bibs will help keep you from getting over heated and then cooling down and getting a chill while on the hunt.

Fourth, finding the right size of hunting bibs. This might be a tricky job as many manufacturers have various sizing and not all the same sizes are the same. You always want to go up a size as the hunting bibs are large in some areas but still need to fit you biggest part of the waist. Many hunters size up several inches from their regular pant size since you are going to have extra layers under the bibs.

Fifth, make sure that bibs have the lower leg zippers. It makes it a lot easier taking them on and off and plus you don't have to worry about taking your boots off and on when putting the hunting bibs on. You can put the bibs on just before getting in the boat so you don't have to wear them in the vehicle and getting over heated and then getting chilled out in the boat from sweating in the car.

Last but not least, picking out the right camouflage hunting bibs and having it be scent control. You don't want to buy a pair of woodland camouflage and be hunting in marsh land, you will stick out and that may scare the animals away. It is important to remain scent free when hunting, so your chances of getting your monster buck or tom are higher and other animals won't give you away.

Your hunting bib needs to give you a good overall fit and to make sure that you have plenty of room for your underneath clothing. You don't want to be uncomfortable while out hunting cause you pick a pair of bibs that were to small or were your normally pant size. Also make sure to try on your hunting bibs in the store before buying them, that way it will give you a better idea if you need to go up a size or down a size.
