Málaga has made a name for itself in terms of culture, from cuisine to music and art. Málaga, located in the centre of the Costa del Sol, is known for its fantastic weather, breathtaking beaches, magnificent castles, and unique exhibition venues.

Malaga has many museums and galleries, and they're worth exploring for a day because they host excellent exhibitions in beautiful historic structures. Malaga's museums and galleries, which cover topics ranging from modern art to religion, effectively illustrate the history and culture of the city.

Below are some of the famous museums

Picasso Museum

One of the popular attractions in the area is the Museo Picasso Málaga. Pablo Picasso, one of the most well-known artists in history, was born here in 1881. All of Picasso's groundbreaking art is on show in the museum.

Museo Carmen Thyssen

The collection of paintings from the 19th century owned by Thyssen-Bornemisza is on exhibit in Museo Carmen Thyssen. There are 230 paintings in the museum's collection, 133 of which are part of the Andalusia Collection. The majority of the artwork on display is from the Romantic era. There are also paintings with Andalusian themes that show flamenco dancers, toreros, the Andalusian landscape, and classic Spanish patios.

Automobile Museum

Here, automobiles are shown as works of art, design, and craftsmanship; Mercedes, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, and Jaguar are just a few of the major brands on display.

Museum of Crystal and Glass

More than 700 pieces of crystal and glass from ancient Egypt to the present day are on show at the Museum of Glass and Crystal. The museum strives to make its exhibits as aesthetically pleasant as possible. To contextualize glass and crystal artefacts, wooden 19th-century cabinets are shown alongside chairs, sofas, and paintings. In this museum, a number of exquisite pieces are on display in every colour imaginable, including creations from the venerable European firms Webb, Daum, and Wedgewood.

In addition to the exhibits and artwork on show, private collections are housed inside some of the city's most breathtaking old buildings. You can regularly visit these popular museums if you buy a villa in Malaga for sale.
