San Francisco is set to host the first-ever Music, Arts, Technology, and Innovations Summit (SFMATIS), a groundbreaking two-day event that brings together the worlds of creativity and cutting-edge technology. This summit will feature over 15 industry experts and innovators, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the evolving roles of artificial intelligence, NFTs, and crypto in the music and arts industries.
SFMATIS, organized by Weivy Initiatives, “aims to bridge the gap between artists, musicians, and the rapid advancements in technology that are reshaping the creative landscape,” said Wei-Sean Chan (@sfmatis), President & Executive Director. The summit will encourage collaboration and innovation while addressing the impact of tech on the Bay Area's creative communities. The event will feature more than 20 speakers, including:
• Kudra Kalema, Founder of African Identity Institute (non-profit) & CP-EM. From Uganda.
• Joshua Olds, Founder and Label Manager of Gold Bloc Records. Artist at Discopill and Jays One.
• Maj, Talent Buyer at Open Air Experience, Audio, Bergerac and LMC Presents. Artist at MAJ.
• Marcus Anderson, Sync Licensing / Trailer Music Composer, featured credits on Disney, Starz, Fox, National Geographic, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Tubi, and others.
• Marcus Kager, Multimedia Artist through traditional practices, coding, and AI. From Austria.
In addition to keynote presentations and panel discussions, the summit will offer interactive activities and workshops, including hands-on NFT creation, crypto wallet setup for artists, and AI-powered music composition. These sessions are designed to help participants integrate new technologies into their creative processes.
SFMATIS emphasizes inclusivity and accessibility, with a special focus on mental health and well-being, recognizing the unique pressures faced by artists in today’s fast-evolving digital world.
Two-day admission is half-off through September 24, 2024, making the conference an incredible deal at only $50. For more information and to register, visit weivyinitiatives.org. The event will take place at Broadway Studios.
