Ugandan-born publicist and social entrepreneur Brian Muhumuza Bishanga has continued to inspire and empower countries he visits or tours to make a difference through his organization Kyarimpa Cares. He recently made a significant contribution to environmental conservation in Kenya and was praised by various civil servants in East Africa. In collaboration with the Uganda National Forestry Authority (NFA), Judith Heard Foundation, and Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA), Brian transported 2000 medicinal and fruit trees to Kenya where he planted them.

Brian's trip to Nairobi coincided with the Forty Under 40 Africa Awards, where his agency, BM Publications, had five client nominations. Three of these clients, including Sina Tsegazeab of Natna Hair, emerged as winners. Brian, an alumnus of the awards, expressed optimism about potential wins on Instagram hours before the ceremony.

Brian's environmental efforts focused on visiting schools and churches, including Life 4 Kids Home school in Kitengela sub-region. He donated scholastic materials and emphasized the importance of being goodwill ambassadors for mother nature. The children sang, prayed, and learned about the severe droughts affecting East Africa, highlighting the need for tree care.

He encouraged local pupils to become ambassadors of afforestation, teaching them to spread this movement wherever they go.

‘’My motivation stems from witnessing the devastating effects of climate change firsthand, particularly in India, I visited a few years ago where dust, heat, and pollution have become unbearable. I chose to focus on trees because they're a crucial solution for Mitigating climate change, Supporting biodiversity, Enhancing air quality, Fostering community engagement, I believe the green economy starts with individual actions, and I'm committed to continuing this mission, inspiring many like you to join me in creating a sustainable future.’’

He proceeded to New Life Pentecostal Church where he met Archbishop Dr. Dan Migosi a renowned spiritual leader in East Africa who thanked him and his organization kyarimpa Cares for instilling in children and youth the afforestation mindset. He was blessed and they left by 9pm back to Nairobi.

Brian's initiative was made possible through partnerships with Uganda National Forestry Authority (NFA), Judith Heard Foundation, Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA), and Hon. Antony Buluma Samba, KYPA President.

Brian stressed the urgent need for afforestation movements, regardless of vicinity or country. "My contribution to the future of this planet is to promote humanitarianism, unity, and reforestation efforts... I've made it a habit to encourage colleagues and loved ones to participate in tree planting initiatives and so you should. We all have both individual and collective responsibility to maintain and improve the mother earth."

As founder of BM Publications, Brian aims to create a positively connected and equitable world through storytelling, brand building, and media. Brian is a seasoned philanthropist, collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations to drive activism for societal causes, including Afforestation, Children's welfare, Refugee support, Women empowerment, and Corporate social responsibility initiatives (exemplified through Kyarimpa Cares).

Brian was recognized among the 40 Under 40 Africa Nominee class of 2023 for his impact on shaping the role of personal assistants and publicists in the continent's entertainment and lifestyle sectors. https://www.instagram.com/p/C5X6-dvL1wv/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
