Bayerische Motoren Werke AG short form is BMW is a self-governing organization from German. It is the producer of motorcycles, automobiles and top cars all over the world. Actually BMW is the mother company of the MINI and Rolls-Royce car brands.
BMW Overview
It as established in the year 1922 and Camillo Castiglioni, Josep Popp and Max Friz were considered as its foundation fathers. It started work by manufacturing aircraft engines and then gradually with the growing spans of time it manufactured a wide range of products and shifted to produce automobiles and motor cycles in the year 1929 and 1923 respectively. The logo of the company is in circular shape with blue and white colored and from which the BMW Trademark is derived.
BMW Automobiles
The present array of BMW model is divided into "Series". In 2004 it was proclaimed by BMW to produce odd-numbered series on models like estate or wagon models and saloon or sedan and even-numbered series were of two-door cabriolets and coupés. These applications were invigorated as the Z4 and in 2003 which was replaced by the aging Z3 roadster and the latest 6 Series supplementation continued with the existing BMW 5 Series.
Series 1
Towards the end of 2004 the BMW 1 Series was introduced with five doors the only rear wheel drive vehicle and the 135i and 128i belong to this series. The former is line up to accept the 300 horsepower with twin turbo 6 cylinder engine.
Series 3
In the BMW 3 series 5th generation E90 is obtainable from 2006 and it is provided as the sport sedan(E90), sport coupe(E92), sport wagon(E91), and sport coupe convertible(E93). It boasts high quality transmission power, suspension technology, comfortable passenger cubicle, and various other High-Tech characteristics and alternatives.
Series 5
BMW's N54 and N52 belong to Series 5 and it boasts V8 alternatives, inline 6-cylinder motors and diesel. Another version of the 5 Series is M5 of the motor sport division that generates 507 hp and is motorized by a F1-inspired V10 engine and is mated with a 7-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox transmission.
Series 6
BMW's majestic touring comfort sport coupé is the Series 6 which is presently obtainable in 650i with coupe. The other high performance of the Series 6 version is M6 launched by BMW's M section. It is motorized by 5.0 L V10 507 hp engine and recently found in Australia, Europe and North America.
Series 7
The 7-Series Hydrogen is considered as a limousine in the rear and the sports car at the controls. It is the world’s foremost opulence performance sedan with hydrogen drive as it is fueled by compressed hydrogen and releases only water vapor.
BMW Motor cycles
BMW in 2004 launched the new K1200S Sports Bike which boasts powerful engine of 167 hp unit.
BMW Sports car
BMW V12 LMR manufactured by Williams Grand Prix engineering in 1999 won the Le Mans 24 Hours race.
BMW X3, X5 and Z4
BMW X3 is powered by the N52 inline 6 cylinder was launched in 2006 and in the same year in November BMW X5 was introduced with the capacity of 7 passengers. A new 2-seater roadster and coupé Z4 was also introduced in that year with high tech formulations.
