Japan’s Civic (Hybrid) Sedan

The award winning Civic lineup has always been a coveted line for most Civic enthusiasts. And it’s easy to understand, what with the performance level and features of the Civic line up, any care enthusiast would get teary eyed.

The new Civic Sedan brings the performance to a four door car, an event that many Civic followers have been praying for.

The Look

The new 2008 Civic Sedan features a sleek, sweeping roofline that culminates at the sleek windshield angle. It sports a road hugging low and wide stance and, of course, sports four doors.

The interior is a sight to behold, high tech and full of creature comforts. The audio entertainment options alone blows the mind. You can listen to music through the XM satellite radio, the MP3/auxilliary input jack with WMA support and an iPod adapter that lets you play your mobile playlist through the Civic's audio controls.

The Performance

Featuring a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine teamed with an electric motor, the Civic Hybrid makes 110 horsepower and 123 pounds-feet of torque. This combination, known as Integrated Motor Assist (IMA), helps Honda hybrids function with smaller engines to maintain great mileage. The engine's auto-stop feature, which turns off the engine when the car is stopped for traffic to save fuel, then restarts the engine once it's time to accelerate is a fuel saver and winner as 3rd. rank in US compact and small car market. Continuous variable transmission (CVT) provides a smooth shifting of gears without loss of power.

The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid has a unit-body construction standard, and has MacPherson strut suspension in front and multi-link rear suspension. Steering is provided by electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion and the curb-to-curb turning diameter is 34.8 feet. As a hybrid vehicle the brakes are also regenerative, which many users find takes some getting used to but overall they are ABS (antilock brakes).

This Japanese car import shares a lot of features with the North American Civic Si Coupe. The car features 18 inch, custom cast aluminum alloy wheels, high performance tires and 4 wheel disc brake featuring large, cross-drilled rotors.

Get Your Own 2008 Civic Sedan

The 2008 Civic Sedan is readily available in car displays where Honda cars are prominent. For those who are looking for lower prices, Japanese used car dealers can offer units which are still well performing. They can also check online Japanese auction sites for people who sell Japanese used cars

Used car dealers can also offer the car in affordable prices; they should make sure that they buy from reputable used car dealers. Japanese car import sales are starting to be a good market for many used car dealers so there should be little difficulty in finding a reputable dealer who carries a Civic Sedan Japanese car.

Why not join increasing green environmental enthusiasts and save our planet. Great fuel economy combined with excellent performance in design and speed will enchant you whenever you sit inside this small luxurious sedan.
