Running a health institute, a health research facility, or a hospital is no easy task. It does take more than dedication that almost borders on passion to be able to be there for your foundation through all the good and bad. You should also be there to stretch the dollars that come in especially during times when there seems to be no more funds available.

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is one of the most known cancer centers in the world. This group has become such when people with the same goal decided to put up the institute. They are all working so as to create a future that would be free from cancer. At present, they have above 6000 patients that they take care of and they work with a mere $216 million as their budget. Of course, they also do use up the budget for research, studies, and tests.

Recently, the cancer institute has been given some help by the Ford Motor Company’s Ford Motor Company Fund. The institute’s group vice president for development, Nick Karmanos, has disclosed that the financial help that the Ford Motor Company Fund has given would be used by the institute so as to improve their nurse paging system. This would help out the whole institute to be able to give care and healing for their patients better.

Karmanos did also disclose that with Ford being one of their major sponsors, they have been able to afford to check out more solutions and answers on the detection, prevention, treatment, and cure of the illness. He continued to say that Ford has become one of their strong allies in battling cancer. He shared, "As Lead Sponsor for our 26th Annual Dinner May 17, Ford Motor Company Fund will help our nurses provide the best possible care and treatment to cancer patients."

That in mind, it is quite easy to think that if consumers continue to patronize Ford vehicles like the Ford F150, Ford auto parts like Ford Escort parts, and other of the company’s services, all would be able to contribute to helping the cancer institute.

Jim Vella as president for the car maker’s Fund and Community Services team shares the company’s sentiments, "We are pleased to continue Ford's legacy of partnering with the Karmanos Cancer Institute in helping to provide needed care for cancer patients and their families."
