Large firms in particular, who have the resources to offer a breakdown of specific areas within the private investigation business, will more than likely give preference to someone with the necessary skills to handle a keyboard over someone who simply wants to be involved wholly and solely in physical surveillance.
Private investigation schools which offer computer skills training as part of their curriculum should be given strong preference when searching for a suitable course. The internet has become one of the main tools of a private investigator as we traverse the 21st century.
To further enhance your online skill level, taking a basic course in using computers, even while you're doing a PI course, can only add strength to your resume.
