In our efforts to share advice, products and ideals there many strategies for getting noticed on the

Internet. When there is a limited budget and the search engines are now ranking according to link

popularity or how much money you have, there is no space for the “Little Man” to compete.

If you have ever searched for marketing on the web you will have come across offers such as get your site submitted to 4.5 million sites for a low cost or sometimes free! Undoubtedly you have come across the World of FFA, as that is where most of your submissions will go. What are FFA’s I here you say, it stands for Free For All Site; having been around since 1995 they have the purpose of listing links. Almost anybody can post their advert on these pages for free, if the owner of the site fails to monitor submissions, they can have some very dodgy content.

These adverts usually take the form of a heading and a few descriptive lines; they are listed with about 50 others that are constantly rotating. So your advert may last a few minutes to a few days depending on how popular the site. When first starting out and being on the stingy side and always on the look out for a bargain! I tried one of these FFA Rocket Blaster sites.

The results; did I obtain Traffic? Well not nearly so much as the e-mail I received into my ‘In Box’ something like 700 in two days, because as part of the deal you have to agree to allow these adverts into your e-mail, so the message is you have been warned. There are now many of these companies promoting links to FFA sites all of which offer low cost or free alternatives to the more conventional ways of gaining traffic. The problem is if everyone on the list is receiving the same quantity of replies it is impossible, ‘even if you wanted’, to read that many promotional e-mails, so the likely hood is that they end up highlighting all the e-mails and deleting before reading.

So before you go running off to your Big Blaster take note, if you want good traffic to your site stay well clear of FFA sites it is not going to Blast your product or business other than with incoming e-mails.How many times have you heard of fellow surfers saying hey?” I spent last right looking at FFA sites”!!...........Yea Right!!
