Lost is one of those shows that creates that impeccable aura of suspense, that leaves you biting your nails till the very last moment and that point, when all around you seems trivial and the only thing that matters is the climax of the episode, the credits start rolling. That , is what keeps LOST ticking. Welcome to the world of LOST. LOST is a television show about survivors of a plane crash, who are stranded on an island that at first seems deserted, but then shows its true colors.
The island is home to a group of extremely clever and cunning research scientists, who are doing research on the strange forces of the island. Like for example, the fact that women who have turned pregnant on the island never survive the labor, and the fact that the island has an extremely high electromagnetic field at its bed, which if allowed to expand to its true potential, will destroy the world. These scientists set out to kidnap all the pregnant women from the groups of survivors, as guinea pigs for their experiments. The story then moves on to reveal that an entire rescue operation has actually been staged by a wealthy man. The motive behind this massive cover-up remains under suspense until later. This is just one of the several twists and turns that are featured in the show. This has proved to be massively popular with viewers worldwide. The rest of the story is basically about the adventures of the survivors on the island . The island is also home to a ‘monster’, which is depicted as a great black fog, that keeps chasing the survivors. Well, we’ll come to that later.
The story then moves on and a rescue ship comes into the picture. The ‘rescue ship’ is actually a ship chartered by the father of the ex-girlfriend of one of the survivors, and the crew has been hired to kill Benjamin Linus, the head of research.
Whew! Tired? Read on.
The main characters in the show are Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Saeed, John, Ben, Juliette and many others. The way the story has been told is simply awesome. It seamlessly slips into the history of each of the protagonists, and blends back into the present equally well. Kudos to the director!
The show is thrilling at its least and racy at its best. It is the true definition of nail-biting suspense. The show has almost continuously dominated tv.com ‘s number one spot on the highest rated list, for the past few months. It has enormous viewership throughout the world and this can be wholly attributed, purely to the storyline.
The reason behind LOST’s success is its thrilling and suspense cum action filled episodes. The episodes are designed so that the climax remains hidden until the starting of the next episode. This leaves the viewers, literally biting at their nails.
To put it simply, LOST rocks!
