For many years, guys and gals have been having sexual intercourse. When two people have had sex, their intimacy will take them to the next level. While oral sex, both fellatio and cunnilingus was once considered a higher form of intimacy and part of intercourse, it is much different today. In recent years, oral sex is expected among couples, regardless of age. After all, who are we kidding? Oral sex is not about relationships anymore. The blowjob has become as common as a kiss on the cheek. Instead of “intercourse,” it seems as though the world is focusing on “outcourse”.

In modern culture, young people believe that oral sex is not actually sex and a couple can perform it and still maintain their virginity. Much like how television programs continue to push the envelope on censorship, people have attempted to redefine sex itself. While some feel as though they are preserving their purity if they only commit to fellatio or cunnilingus, many teenagers and even adults mistakenly believe that they will be protected against sexual disease or infections. Studies have shown that kids just entering puberty are having oral sex. By the age of 15, a boy that has not had his dick sucked or licked a girl’s pussy will often think he is a looser, when in reality he is the true winner. This desensitization of morality is extremely dangerous to the mentality of a healthy relationship.

In a healthy relationship, typically a couple gets to know one another and develops excellent communication skills. While able to communicate with one another, they build solid trust. Once trust is achieved, the couple will make the decision whether or not to engage in intercourse. Since people of younger ages are jumping into sexual acts with such casual attitudes, a lack of commitment, and trust, is made. If the youth has a mentality that one can get the milk without the cow, then how do we expect them to survive in a relationship? Without a bond shared between two people, the foundation of a relationship is non-existent and will struggle. As a result, this will hurt the moral fibers of our humanity and continue to set a bad model for the world’s youth. Besides hurting humanity socially, we must not ignore the physical damages this casual attitude implies.

Oral sex is dangerous for health reasons. Although oral sex does not include penile insertion into a vagina, diseases can be easily transmitted through the mouth. AIDS, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are three most common STDs. These are only a select few of the possible hundred in existence. The ease of hookups in the youth, leads to a lack of awareness, allowing these sexual diseases to affect so many.

Oral sex is no longer a moment shared between two lovers. It is becoming a recreation that is nothing more than a handshake. If we continue to dilute our values, we will become less appreciative of the moments we share with the ones we love. Just because we refuse to acknowledge oral sex as making oneself impure, doesn’t mean that this is necessarily true. Purity is only something that you can be aware of. When the time comes, can one honestly say they have been innocent if they have had 37 penises in their mouth? Do not take this the wrong way; oral sex is amazing. However, ignorance is bliss. One shouldn’t ignore their innocence and belittle their morals. “Outercourse” should not be regarded as an act between two strangers. Oral sex should be between two lovers.
