Modern trucks are now equipped with mobile phones and other communication equipment. This will help the drivers keep in touch with their families and friends on a daily basis. It means that the base will also keep in touch with their drivers even for 24 hours a day. The GPS will also monitor the performance of the truck. It will record the fuel consumption and the speed of the truck.
Truck driving is even made easier today because of the improvement made inside the sleeping cabin of the truck. The beds are made more comfortable. They even equip the trucks with personal fridge, microwave oven and television. These are some of the improvements that make the truck driving job more appealing.
