If you have written an article there is absolutely no reason why you cannot extend this to write an e-book which can bring even greater benefits. If you take note of the information detailed here there is no reason why you can't start yours right now. The process detailed here can be used for a person carrying out the whole project on their own or with one or more additional writers to help them.

The subject of your e-book is quite easy to work out if you have an interest in a specific area, why not write some articles and get the feed back on whether people are willing to pay for this information. Articles are less intimidating to write than a book, and you can use some of the articles as promotional tools to create demand for your forthcoming book. If these articles are sent to article directories, within a short space of time you should have a very good idea how many people have shown an interest and can estimate how successful it will be.

The overall structure can be a work in progress while the article content is being written. You book should be in three to four sections and will contain an introduction, the main body of the material, a closing chapter and possibly some additional material too. Many books now contain bonus material to give it more value and increase the number of people that buy it.

Normally authors will write an article and then insert it into their e-book as this gives them an idea of how it will look when it is completed. If you want someone to actually read your e-book, it can't be too long so keep it informative and around fifty pages in length. If you stay close to the subject it will be easier for readers because computer screens are not the best medium for reading on.

Most e-books contain extra or bonus information collected by the author; be on the look-out for this so you can provide some too. From your point of view this bonus information does not need to be anything more than some extra articles you did not use in the book or a short report you have written. The bonus material should really have a value all of its own and be directly related to the topic of the e-book.
