The game starts by everyone placing an ante. Each player is then dealt two cards face down so only you can see and the third card being face up. The player with the lowest card that is faced up (these cards are also referred to a door cards) has to make a token bet or bring in bet. If in the situation that 2 player have the same number cards the player with the lowest suite has to make the token bet.

The game can now start beginning with the player to the left of the person who made the token bet. All players now must match the previous bet; raise it or throw their hand in.
