Western society today has demanded that we all work towards some sort of success. We are bombarded by ads by some of the most beautiful and richest people on the planet simply pushing the fact that they are successful and we should have what they have. Success though often eludes many of us so I want to share the first secret millionaires know of becoming obscenely wealthy and successful.

When you were a child and visited a toy store and saw the most awesome toy that you just had to have, what did you do to get that toy? Did you yell and scream in the store to mum and dad to buy it for you? Did you stop asking them for the toy when you left the store or did you keep asking? How long did it take before they actually bought you that toy? Did you trade with them to buy it, like, “Mum I will clean my bedroom for a week if you buy me this for my Birthday?”

What other items have you wanted so badly that you would do anything to get it? Have you had a job in which you would have done anything to get it? Have you ever worked so hard for twelve months to save all the money you could to go on holidays?

Did You Succeed?

If you answered yes, then my question to you is why? If you did not succeed, why not?

Success comes in many forms and most people when they talk about success will talk in terms of success being defined by the amount of money they have or the sort of car they have. Really success comes in many forms. For example if you were over weight, have you ever succeeded in loosing the weight and more important keeping it off.

Well in succeeding there are in fact 13 elements that will lead you to success. Today in this article we are going to talk about the first one. Let us look at the example of the child in the toy store. Whether you realize or not, we are all born to succeed and we really all know the 13 steps to success, it is just that at some stage as we get older not all of us seem to put it together. Why can I say this, well if you were a child were you able to convince your parents that you wanted a certain toy for Christmas or Birthday? The answer to this is most likely “Absolutely Yes!”

Why did you achieve this?

Simply through our first secret – the Desire. If you Desire something so bad and you really want it, then normally you will go out and do what ever it takes. Look there are examples all around us of where people use the Desire to succeed. If you are from America or Australia you may have seen a television program called “The Biggest Loser”. This program literally documents the determination of 10 overweight individuals and their battle to lose the weight. There are 13 reasons why they succeed but the first one is quite simple. If you have the desire to do whatever you want and you really really want it, then regardless of all the challenges that are put in front of you, you will find a way to achieve the success you want. As such, have you ever seen any of those people on the Biggest Loser actually put weight on during the show. Absolutely, “NOT!”

Desire, is an incredibly powerful tool when it comes to success. The reason millionaires are so successful and make the money, are that they have the desire to want to achieve. They will do whatever it takes to make the money.

Most people I meet on a day-to-day basis have fantastic ideas on business but less than 0.5% has the desire to make it work. They do not have the passion in their heart to continue on even when things get hard or they have a setback. If you truly have a desire to succeed then you will do what ever it takes to achieve it, or as they say, die trying.
