Here’s the story guys, you met that perfect girl, you chatted online a little, called her and had a had a great conversation. Everything is going perfectly to plan. You finally get the courage to ask her out on a date and she accepts. You’re excited about this first date, you want everything to go well so that you can get a second date, and perhaps turn this fling into a relationship. However, there are a few things you can do on this first date that will guarantee that she leaves the date never wanting to see or hear from you again. These things are as follow:

  1. SHOW UP LATE - Punctuality is your best friend when it comes to first dates. There is no bigger turn off to a woman than making her wait for you. Even if it’s two minutes passed, the game is over. By showing up late, it lets her know right away that you don’t respect her time thus not respecting her. Also, forget any excuses (traffic, late at work), for a first date you always want to be early. Always try to get there before she does. If you know beforehand that you’ll be running late, make sure you give her a call a few hours before the date to let her know.

  2. THE WAY YOU CONVERSE - If you’re very bland, unfunny, and give one answer replies like yes or no, she’ll become bored in no time. You need to be the architect of the conversation, listen to what she has to say, ask poignant questions, make stupid jokes, and laugh at her stupid jokes. Make sure the conversation stays very light, stay away from religion, money and politics, as the last thing you want on a first date is a heated one sided argument where you shoot down or demean all of her opinions and beliefs. You need to make yourself seem interesting, talk about current events, pop culture, and ask her plenty of questions about herself (women love talking about themselves).

  3. TALK ABOUT YOUR MATERIALISTIC ITEMS - If you start off every sentence with how much money you make, how big your house is, or how many cars you have, you’ll turn her off real fast. Sure there are gold diggers out there who’ll love to hear about all of this, but these women are far and few apart and the average woman will get bored of you showing off really fast.

  4. TALK EXCESSIVELY ABOUT YOUR EX - This is the deal breaker. The moment you bring up your ex, you’re in a sinking ship. You’re on a date with HER, she wants to feel special, and the last thing she wants to hear is you bashing and talking about all the things your ex did to you. If the relationship progresses, there will always come a time and place where the both of you will share your stories about your exes, but a first date is not the place for any of that.

Follow these four simple rules, and we can almost guarantee you a second date. Also worth noting, if you’re on a date and it‘s really not going well, apply any of these four rules and she’ll be out of there in no time. No hassles, and no awkward day after conversations where you tell that it just didn’t work out.
