Have You Chosen Gratitude?

Everyone’s life is different and they prefer to live life differently than other people. However, life can be pretty unpredictable with obstacles and challenges arising in our paths all of the time.
Decisions have to be made every single day, such as should I apply for this job, should I be happy or sad? Should I put milk in my coffee? It could be the simplest decision in the world, but, on the other hand, there could be even bigger decisions to make that we could end up regretting.
As every single person is different, each person will have their own set of beliefs. So, in order to apply one theory or belief to everyone in the world, it really is not easy! However, with some theories, it is possible to loosely base them on your own life.
How to Choose Gratitude
Some people like to think that everything happens for a reason. No one knows why we are here and things tend to happen that have coincidences with other things in our lives. That helps us to believe that we are on the right track in life, hence, the ‘everything happens for a reason’ theory.
Other people believe that life is all about choice and that we have lots of decisions to make. People have great power at their disposal to achieve bigger and better things, but, generally, they tend to hold back and become almost like a wallflower than a leader in their own lives. However, if you apply the method ‘power of choice’ and evaluate things, it may help to spark something inside of you. You can either choose to carry on the way you are or you can make a big difference in your life and make it more fulfilling. So it is a matter of believing in yourself and making the right choices for your life.
No one can say that some ones beliefs are right or wrong because people use these beliefs to get them through everyday life. You can chose to take life by the horns and go for the roller coaster ride or concentrate on the negatives and let your life pass you by. Life is too short, so it is all about experiencing as much as you can and making the most of things. So, you can be grateful for what you have or you can be negative and wish you had more.
Jealousy can hamper the way you live your life, too. You may have noticed that there are some people that seem to have it all, such as fast cars, lots of money, big circles of friends, etc. But if you were to ask them if they were truly happy, a lot of them may answer no. You may think this is rubbish but, in fact, most people are scared of dying and, as they say, “you can’t take everything with you”. It is part of human nature to want more than we actually have. It is far more fulfilling to accept what we have than to keep aiming for things that we may never have!
You should concentrate on what you have and not focus on everyone else. Yes, it would be nice to have everything but then you should ask yourself if would you be happy with everything? Would you appreciate having everything? It may take the element of excitement away to have everything that you want. What do you get someone that has everything? Some people who have everything are unhappy and ungrateful and expect more. These people do not feel gratitude and they will probably be searching for happiness in all of the wrong places.
Do you feel gratitude in life? Have you thanked God for feeling blessed in your life or thanked someone for helping you to achieve things. Taking the time out to look at all of the good things in your life and the people around you is a good feeling.
So you, too, could feel fulfilled and lead a good life full of gratitude towards the world you live in and recognize the good things everyone around you does. Appreciating the finer things in life can do one’s self a power of good and it also gives a good state of mind! So, choose gratitude and live a happier life today!
