Notepad printing is not an uncommon task that some companies use to spread awareness about themselves. It might not be the traditional public relations tool, but a custom pad printing design given to a lot of people can spread the word about your company and its services. They are useful and will surely reach more people than just the person you gave it too. It also gives a company a kind of respectability to have their own notepad. Formal letters and special messages can be written with the dignity of the company as its back draft. So its no surprise that a lot of companies usually have their unique pad printing designs mass produced and given away as part of Public Relation Kits and special events.
If you are just starting on your custom notepad design, below are a few of the basic parts of a custom notepad aimed as public relations or advertising tool. A notepad printing company may request to have this basic information to be added to your design so that it becomes an effective tool.
The company logo
The first and most basic element is the company logo. This may be printed at the top as the notepad header, or it might be placed in the bottom as the footer. Usually, when you print custom notepads the logo is shrunk to a small level. You may think this reduces the visibility of the logo, but it is prudent to have a large space reserved for the writing area of the notepad. To remedy this problem, some people print full color notepads that have a high quality printing of their logo. This way, even though it is small it is clearly noticeable. In fact some may have embossed logos and glittery ones to entice some attention.
The company name/ professional name
Below or near the logo should be the company's name. This just established the formal name of the company that is connected to the logo. It is good practices to have both logo and name together so that the reader established the link between them. For more personal custom notepads like for doctors, the doctor's full name with title, plus their medical specialty may be printed for reference purposes.
Contact details
Next, a custom notepad can fully be used as an advertising tool if it doesn't have the contact details for the company who printed it. Usually these contact details include the company's phone, fax number, email address, Internet URL and complete address. All of this is included in the pad printing so that when people get intrigued or interested in what services you have to offer they can easily refer to the notepad you have given.
Tag-line and other details
Also, it is acceptable to add the company's tag line as well as other details like its products and services to the pad printing's design. This will give the user of the notepad some extra information about what the company is all about. Do not get overboard with adding these details however, since a notepad should have a black area for writing.
Blank Area for Writing
Though completely blank, the writing area of a custom notepad is of course the main reason of notepad printing. Notepads are meant to be written upon, so a large area of blank paper space must be reserved for writing notes. If you want however to do away with he blankness of this kind of standard design you can do two things. Some people have the color notepad company print writing lines to help people scribble their notes. This gives people a guide on how to write their notes on a straight line. Others put an ingenious water mark that subtly displays an image or the company's logo to further increase its exposure.
Great! Those should be the basic elements of a notepad that a marketing or business notepad should have. Remember that notepad printing is not a direct advertisement. It takes a while for people to notice it. It is a long-term investment to give any potential customers you may have of information that they need.
