Every single day there are more and more people breaking up from a relationship. It can definitely be tough getting over a break up, but if you don't make the same mistakes that so many other people make, there should be absolutely no reason why you should not be able to get back together with your ex.
The problem is most people don't use common sense when they are getting over a break up. They feel pressure and anxiety and they feel like their life is over, so they do stupid things like call their ex when they are drunk, leave desperate messages on their voicemail, etc...
Use Common Sense!
All those things I just described seem like a real bonehead way to get over a break up, don't they? So why is it that people react this way? It's a severe lack of common sense. Yet people are making these kind of mistakes everyday.
The first part of getting over a break up is to ACTUALLY ACCEPT IT. Don't worry, this isn't a bad thing. Some of the best relationships you'll ever see happened because they broke up, and got back together.
A Break Up Can Be A Good Thing
I know it probably doesn't feel that way right now, but a break up can actually make the heart grow fonder. It allows for BOTH parties to gain a little perspective on the relationship, so they can analyze what exactly went wrong.
Sometimes the perfect recipe for a reconciliation is just time and space. The time to see where everything actually went wrong and the space apart from one another so you can do this without any tension.
Patience is a Virtue
I know you may be thinking that sounds horrible! How can I possibly spend this much time apart from the person I love? But just think of the eventual outcome of getting back together your ex. Isn't that worth taking things nice and slow.
What you've got to do is just simply give your ex the space they need to get over the break up, themselves. That way, when the reconciliation period begins, you can BOTH be in a calmer, more respectful place, and then the courtship can begin again.
One of the best ways of getting over a break up is writing down your emotions on a piece of paper. It may seem kind of cheesy but it works! You can find out more about this at http://www.win-back-ex.com.
