We all need a guiding star sometimes in our lives. How about making your own phone one for yourself? Quite literally though! The Nokia 6110 is a navigator in your pocket, guiding you through the hustle bustle of the busy lanes of your city or perhaps any city that you are in! Launched on 25 September, 2007 right after the N95, the 6110 is quite similar to the N95 except for a few things. Let’s find out some more about this swanky beauty.

Lead Me On

That is what you will ask you 6110 to do if you are stuck and cant find a way in one of the major eight cities of the country or most important highways whose map is pre installed in it.

The GPS is quick to launch and provides extremely impressive results. The phone comes with a cool voice navigation system (Navteq, Route 66) that guides you through your way in your own language (read Hindi) only if you are all ears to it.

Other Features

The Nokia 6110 has a 2MP camera that is good for pictures taken in sunlight. It also gives you the cool option of video recording and is launched when the slide door is opened.

The phone also has excellent voice quality whether in handset or speaker phone mode. There is also an in built music player with a good playback quality due to the well placed twin speakers. It runs a Symbian version 9.2 and has 64MB of SD RAM that can be upgraded to a max of 2GB with the help of a memory card. You can store your music and connect the phone to the car’s speakers for a larger effect.

Apart from these the 6110 provides all the basic features expected out of a phone of it’s caliber like Bluetooth, MMS, Streaming Video, FM Radio, Video calling, etc.

Looks and Design

The Nokia 6110 is a slide phone which to some may appeal as being high on the style quotient. This mobile phone comes in an elegant black and silver combination however you may have a little problem with the smallish buttons and pad. Also, it rather feels more convenient to use the camera with the central navigation button rather than the camera controls provided.

Overall

As the phone has been compared a lot with the N95, it does give you a reason to choose itself over the later in terms of price and design. The GPS also seems to be very neat and effective and provides you with options of fastest route, shortest route and pedestrian. So if you do not mind the absence of WiFi, the Nokia 6110 can be your best bet.
