One of the most leading causes of male impotency is low sperm count. Other causes might include decreased sperm motility, poor quality sperm, and absence of sperms in semen. In general, most of the cases of male impotency are because of low sperm count. There are many biological and environmental causes that can result in decreasd sperm count.

Low sperm count can be cured by quitting alcohol and smoking since they are known factor to cause infertility. Tobacco is found to damage the sperm's DNA and give rise to infertility. drug abusing and narcotic drug consumption may cause low sperm count.

There are many ways to increase low sperm count and its quality. Avoiding lubricants and avoiding the junk food, canned/packed food may help in curing low sperm count. Wear loose undergarments; take aphrodisiac supplements such as Asparagus, Ashwagandha, Mucuna, Shilajit etc on regular basis may help in increasing sperm count. Reduce stress by doing meditation and relaxation.

Other ways to overcome low sperm count may include exercising adequately and maintaining a normal healthy body weight. Multivitamins may also help in curing low sperm count. However, in case where a man does not produce sperm at all (medically known as azoospermia) cannot be treated since it is irreversible case. Dietary modification, improved lifestyle and other changes help in treating sperm insufficiency.
