Article marketing has long been used as a form of advertisement, long before the advent of the internet. With websites competing for business, it is amazing what article marketing can do. When writing articles, think of it as creating a press release, publishing advice that people would search for. Providing similar products on your site would be beneficial. For example, writing about how to find good keywords would be a good segue to a keyword search software product on your site.
Online articles work much like print marketing. The search engines will crawl around looking for the top keywords used, in order to match the article's information to what the search is for. There are a few key things to put in place in order to make your articles effective.
SEO, or search engine optimized, wording is essential for the search engines to find your information. In order to get the best returns, do some research into what words most web searchers are typing in. Then utilize those words into your articles. Doing a little research will be worth it in the long term results to your site.
Search engine optimization isn’t enough on it’s own though. Write a title that names the benefit to the reader so that it will grab their attention. Make sure that your title gives them a reason to read the article. Always make sure your article is easy to ready by checking spelling and grammar. If your article is full of typographical errors, you will discredit yourself.
Once you have readers to your site, make sure they want to stay. Your article should provide good information to ensure they keep reading. When writing online articles, the style is a little different. Sentences are typically shorter and more to the point. There's not a lot of extra verbiage.
So now your article is written. What's next? In order to make them effective, brand your articles with your name or website brand. It's important to put the word out on social media sites for self promotion. Have links to other related articles so that you establish further credibility in your field. Put your articles in as many article directories as you can. Some of the more popular directories are ezine articles, go articles and article alley. These websites can generate a lot of traffic for you, so it's worth the effort to do some research and write a quality article.
The more articles you write, the better. Keep contributing new information, so that you can cross link readers to other articles. You gain credibility with each additional article and some sites will dub you an "expert" in the field. Once you have established yourself as an expert, you may find people seeking you out for advice.
It is essential to market your site, service or product effectively. A website that gets no traffic may as well be a scrapbook page, where only the select few visit. By generating traffic through writing articles, you can only increase visits to your page and help the search engines place you higher in the search results. Be sure your website is easy to use and visually appealing for your visitors. This creates a positive experience all around and your readers will be more likely to return.
