If you are one of the many panic disorder sufferers in the world, you are probably wondering what you can do to ease your symptoms. Having a panic attack can be extremely devastating and debilitating, not to mention embarrassing. Most panic attack sufferers will be able to identify the symptoms leading up to a panic attack. The trick is to be able to prevent yourself from feeling these symptoms in the first place. But what can you do?
There have been numerous studies correlating to high incidences of stress and panic attacks. When you are stressed out about certain things, your body produces adrenalin, which can also trigger a panic attack. It's obvious that if you are highly strung you are going to be more likely to have a panic attack, so the secret to eliminating your panic symptoms is to reduce your stress. The good question is, how do you do this in the stresses of modern day society?
There are a range of factors influencing the levels of stress in our bodies. Some common ones are financial worries, relationship problems, work-related stresses and health related stress. It is not always under our control to be affected by these kinds of stress, but the trick is to learn how to deal with stress when faced with it. First of all, you need to be happy and healthy to be able to handle all sorts of stress. Exercise is always highly recommended by practitioners, as it has the effect of making you happy and also making you healthy. Exercise releases endorphins, which are the hormones that cause you to feel joy and happiness. In addition to the effect of these hormones, you will feel happier because you will see the results on your body from the exercising. There are different types of exercise to suit a whole range of tastes, such as swimming, running, biking, yoga, rowing and many more.
If you have stresses which can induce panic attack, perhaps you need to sit down and assess where you can work out a solution. If you are worrying about money, perhaps now is the time to restructure your budget, or talk to debt consolidators for some help. Therefore every time a new bill arrives you won't be clutching at your heart in panic. If your worry is relationship related, now is the time to seek some counseling. If you and your spouse are always arguing, there is no doubt that some heated words can cause some unwanted panic symptoms. If you are working too hard and are not coping, now is the time to sit down with your employer and talk about what can be done to make your life a little bit easier. The best way to approach your boss is to explain that you love your job, and believe that you will produce a far better level of work if you are given more time to concentrate on one project at a time.
Remember that stress can be handled. Naturally, not all problems in life can be ignored but there are better ways of dealing with them. There are also some amazing relaxation techniques that go a long way in reducing your stress which in turn alleviates your panic symptoms. These techniques can include yoga, meditation, getting a good night's rest and just having some good clean fun.
