Who are we that God is even mindful of us? He is the Beginning and the End, the all powerful, the all knowing. Here we are, most often running around doing our thing, while God must be shaking his head.

The world is in turmoil and we are trying in our own strength to rectify our situations as seems best. There is only One who sees the beginning from the end. He is the One who has set the world and the whole universe in motion and throughout His Word has even foretold what is to happen.

He has created man to be his companion. This means that you can know God's thoughts and share yours with Him! However, we know that we have been given free will. He has given us our rights to do our own thing. Ever since the first man and woman considered their own thoughts superior to God's we have been in trouble.

The knowledge of good and evil has become a balancing act. No matter how much good you want to do, evil is always in the way and your mind is constantly in turmoil. God is no longer in control unless and until you ask Him to take over the reins of your life.

You are made in God's image and He has a purpose for your life. He loves you no less than He did Adam. And for that purpose He sent Jesus, who lowered Himself to become the second Adam just for you.

Why did He do that? He first had to re-establish His kingdom on earth so that once more you can commune with Him. Furthermore, without God's guidance you cannot possibly go through the problems of this world. He knows what you have to go through and that, when you make the decision to allow Him to lead you, you will be victorious.

There will always be trouble because we are living in an imperfect world. But your Father will lead you through them all, if you fully trust Him and rely on Him. Human strength and wisdom utterly fail. But… with God all things are possible!

It's not how you start the race, but how you finish it. At the outset you may have faced many troubles and consequences you did not deserve. But with God there is peace beyond the world's comprehension.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." (Jer. 29: 11)

God has made the way. Therefore, choose to walk in it and be led in all circumstances by His Spirit! Rejoice in the God of your salvation, and trust Him to bring you through all your circumstances. The Lord says that:

"All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast." (Prov. 15: 15)

I love that verse because it confirms that the evil one is trying to make our lives miserable. But the joy of the Lord is truly a potent weapon. Laugh the devil in the face!

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusts in thee." (Isa. 26: 3)
