If you remember, in a previous article, I promised to connect with you again on Csikszentmihalyi. In the book, The NEW Think and Grow Rich, his quotes is on page 175. And from his idea, we fashion the affirmation we present today. We’ve spoken about this affirmation priorly, but don’t let that sweat you, because that’s the nature of good affirmations, they are always good to repeat. Every affirmation we ever talk about is always good to repeat.

And I do recommend, of course, that when you yourself go to the trouble to craft a statement that affirms the world as you are creating it, that you write it down and memorize it so that you can repeat it at any moment. That’s the purpose, programming, autosuggestion… Which is principle number 3 of The NEW Think and Grow Rich. Soon you will have a collection of dozens of affirmations and visualizations as a resource.

"There are no problems in my life, only adventures, challenges, and opportunities to show my stuff!"

You may not even like or prefer that tag that I put on when I say it, "to show my stuff", because it’s a very good affirmation as it is.

"There are no problems in my life, only adventures, challenges, and opportunities."

Yes, that is true.

Here’s what Csikszentmihalyi says…

"Of all the virtues we can learn, no trait is more useful, more essential for survival, and more likely to improve the quality of life than the ability to transform adversity into an enjoyable challenge."

"Adversity into an enjoyable challenge"! Yes!

Economy got you down? Having problems with the family? Can’t seem to get over writer’s block? Transmute adversity into challenge! Use this affirmation to remind you and to assert control:

"There are no problems in my life, only adventures, challenges, and opportunities."

"Transform adversity into an enjoyable challenge."

No quality, the scientist says, is more important. You’ve got to keep yourself going. That’s what achievers and heroes do. Any project you get into that has any size at all will have adventures, will encounter gusts of a single day. Hey, every mariner has to be tried in a storm, otherwise they’re not really a good, seasoned mariner, now are they? You understand.

It’s all about an interpretation system. Everything is good to you. It helps you in one way or another, it moves you closer to your goal and, even if it appears as a setback, it still moves you closer, because you know now you have something which you can analyze, evaluate why did it go that way, and make better the next time, which will be immediately. Because to you, you don’t have problems, not in the conventional sense of problems.

Every adversity you encounter, my dear achiever, you transform into an enjoyable challenge. It’s the way the hero passes.
