What is the Right Facial Moisturizer for Men?

A facial moisturizer for men is not exactly the same that women may use. Facial cream for men should be different. It should address the areas that are particularly problematic for men. Among them are irritation and inflammation from shaving, excessive redness and roughness.
Excessive Redness and Inflammation
The excessive redness is actually connected to underlying inflammation. The causes of the inflammation may be shaving, the shaving lubricant or abrasive cleansers. But, ultimately a facial moisturizer for men should have anti-inflammatory activity.
Essential Ingredient for Better Looking Skin
One of the active ingredients to look for is CYNERGY TK. It is clinically proven to reduce inflammation by blocking the production of prostaglandin E2, a biochemical that leads to inflammation. CYNERGY TK can be found in only the best facial cream for men.
Good Lubricant Works Well on Sensitive Facial Skin
But, there are other things that you can do to prevent irritation and inflammation. Always use a sharp blade and a good lubricant like grape seed oil. Some men find it best to shave in the shower, where the steam and moisture soften the hair and open the pores. Apply the oil and allow it to sit for a minute, and then begin shaving.
Choose Cleansers Carefully
I don’t recommend abrasive cleansers or irritating exfoliants for anyone, but they are particularly unnecessary for men, because dead cells are already removed when you shave. Look for mild daily cleansers that are free of common allergens and irritants. Avoid anything that contains petrolatum, mineral oil or paraffin, because those ingredients clog your pores and cause blemishes.
Ideally, you would use a good facial cream for men after shaving, instead of any of those after-shave splashes that are on the market. The primary ingredients in them are petroleum based alcohols. They cause burning and redness. Don't use them.
Good Ingredients Are Essential
A facial moisturizer for men to use after shaving should contain witch hazel, because of its natural antiseptic activity. It was the most common aftershave, until petrochemicals took over the cosmetic industry. Witch hazel will help prevent infection in shaving nicks and cuts, without causing irritation or redness.
Another key ingredient for facial cream for men is capuacu butter. It comes from a fruit and has been used for thousands of years by natives in South America. It provides natural protection against the sun and helps to heal burns, whether from the wind, the sun or a razor. It contains essential fatty acids that are very similar to those found in the skin’s own sebum. These fats moisturize without causing greasiness. They are readily and quickly absorbed into the skin.
Vitamin B5 is an important component of facial moisturizer for men, because it helps repair damaged tissues. It also provides some natural protection against the sun.
A facial cream for men containing vitamin B5, capuacu butter, witch hazel and CYNERGY TK, is the most effective that I found. It should also be free of artificial preservatives and added fragrances. This type of facial moisturizer for men will also counteract the affects that time can have on your face. There’s no need to look older than you really are. Is there?
