Noida is short for the New Okhla Industrial Development Area. The name has been changed to Noida because it has been undergoing a lot of changes. As the city has been developed well and entirely, they see to it that the changes done to the place is beneficial to the urban middle class.

The War Memorial is probably the most famous landmark in Noida. It serves as a commemoration of the historic Battle of Patpargunj in 1803. The Indians fought for their right to New Delhi during this time. The site is described perfectly with marked silence as the visitors silently read the names of the battle heroes. They take a moment of silence to pay respects to the loyal warriors who died for their country.
