Commission Programs

Have you ever had a job where your income was based on commission programs?  In the offline world of brick and mortar businesses it can be a difficult way to make a living.  On the internet, however, commission programs provide a great way to earn money with an automated business.

In traditional businesses, sales people could earn money through a commission program by face to face contact with a customer.  They make a sale, and earn a commission on each sale.  They also act as the contact person, so if there is a problem with the transaction or if the customer is not satisfied with the product or service, the salesperson is the one responsible for making sure everything is made right.

For you, this process is completely automated.  The link you place on your website that sends the customer to the actual sales site contains a code that will track the sale back to you.  That means, even though you didn’t have to process the sale, you still get paid for it.  It doesn’t matter when the sale is made.  You don’t even have to be at home.  Your site is at work for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

That does not mean you don’t have to work at your business.  Like anything else in life, if you want to be successful you will need to put some time and effort into building your business.  Having a website does not mean that people will be able to find you.  There are millions of websites trying to attract visitors, and if you want customers to notice your site, you will have to spend time marketing your business.  This is the most critical piece that will determine your success or failure, so don’t neglect it.

Getting involved in a commission program is a great way to make money with an online business.  With good marketing, and a product that people want, you can make a substantial income.  You may even be able to build your business to the point you can quit your regular job.  While many people have tried and failed, with effort and good marketing you can succeed.
