Are you a person who loves to hear those old but lovely songs? Are you disappointed that the vinyl records are now obsolete? These songs usually bring back our good old memories that we have shared with our love ones. They take us back to many happy memories shared with our loved ones. Because we want to hear our old songs or vinyl all over again, there have been recent inventions that give us this rare opportunity to be attuned to our favorite old songs again. This invention is the USB turntable.
The USB turntable is made to convert all your vinyl records and transfer it to your computer. This way, songs in the vinyl can be played even without the obsolete vinyl turntables. When transferred to the computer, the old songs can be played on more modern audio players like the iPods, mp3 players, laptops and cellular phones. You just have to have a USB port where you can plug your USB turntable.
The USB turntables have high speed functions that make the whole transferring process of your vinyl easy and less hassle. It also has a belt that can connect to your home stereo. This way, even if the songs have not been converted, it can be played directly to your stereos.
There are many types of turntables depending on where it can be hooked. The simpler USB turntables can be connected to your desktop computers or laptops. There are those that can be played in mp3 players. Some can be hooked with iPod devices.
When buying a USB turntable, be sure that you check on the overall functionality of the unit. Here are some basic guidelines you might want to look into. First is that it should at least have an adjustable anti-skate control. This is to increase stereo balancing. The RPM should be between 33 1/3 and 45. With built-in pre-amp, the RCA outputs have interchanging line levels.
It should be able to support 78 RPM recording with included software. Its music should be digitized with a 1/8" line output. Also check if it has 3.5mm stereo line input. And it should have the modern styling as well as automatic play or pause buttons.
This revolutionary invention is fairly easy to use. Even the not so technology inclined can use it. Just choose USB Audio CODEC in the "Device" in the Audacity preference. Get your vinyl ready. Record your vinyl by clicking record. Play music and start the USB turntable. Alter the settings and make your desired adjustments. Install LAME. And lastly, choose "Export as MP3" from the file menu.
After doing these simple steps, your vinyl collections will be transferred to your MP3. Take note that the turntables with iPod docks can not be used on a laptop. These can be compatible to all recording software that supports USB Audio devices.
Also take note of the minimum specifications of your computer for the USB turntables to work properly. The computer should at least have Windows Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, or XP installed as an operating system. For Mac users, it should be Mac OS9 or higher. The USB port should be at a minimum of 1.1. And it should be compatible with all standard operating drivers.
If you have your own USB turntables, you do not have to switch to a new kind of music. You also do not have to suffer looking for ways how you can transfer your vinyl and access your music. You would not regret the money you spent for your USB. This is an all in one gadget that you need for your favorites. You will surely not experience wasting your time for looking for your favorite old songs. Try the USB turntables and take a joy ride down to the great music of old.
