FRESNO, Calif., Aug. 6, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CPSZ), a leader in Prison kiosk technology to streamline the inmate release process and a growing provider of the cost reducing process for loading funds onto an inmate's account over the internet or through a kiosk, reported today the successful results of CPSZ's EZ Kiosk and EZ Card divisions while in attendance at the Texas Sheriff Association (TSA) Conference show in San Antonio, Texas July 19th-21st.
Ron Hodge, President and CEO of Continental Prison Systems, Inc. attended the Texas Sheriff Association Show in San Antonio Texas. Sheriff's visiting CPSZ's booth showed enormous interest in CPSZ's Prison financial products and services. The Sheriff's were primarily impressed with the booking kiosk that takes all the cash handling away from the facility when an inmate is booked into the facility, and the EZ Exit Card program that gives the inmate a debit card upon release instead of a check. The Sheriff's at the show were also impressed with the variety of programs CPSZ offered including but not limited to the work release kiosk, which allows inmates to pay their work release fee's through CPSZ's kiosk or from the online website.
Ron Hodge, President and CEO of Continental Prison Systems, Inc., stated, "The Texas Sheriff's Conference was a huge success for us. Word of mouth advertising of both the EZ Card system and the EZ Kiosk system caused a real buzz around the floor of the show." Mr. Hodge continued, "With several final contract negotiations wrapping up this month and several installs scheduled for late August, CPSZ is on track to meet and exceed our annual revenue forecasts." Mr. Hodge also stated, "We have recently signed a LOI with a large Southwest commissary contractor and are very close to completing the deal. I am very confident we can start implementing numerous kiosk installs in their contracted facilities by the start of the fourth quarter. The initial install will be a 245 bed facility in Tennessee."
