For amateur "magic" mushroom cultivators living where it's legal to grow hallucinogenic mushrooms, starting that first successful grow just got a lot more convenient. You can buy DVD videos, how-to guides and starter kits, but how about a software program that really kicks you in the right direction? That's what Grow Buddyâ„¢ is trying to do, one mushroom lover at a time.
Grow Buddy is a new software application for psilocybin mushroom growers who are new to cultivating "magical" fungi. Newbies and amateurs to the growing process often have many issues throughout their journey cultivating.
They run into such hair-pulling issues as calculating the amount of supplies they will need before growing, needing to know how long it will take their mushrooms to begin growing, and how tasty their final product will be. Okay, maybe growers don't worry about the taste aspect so much, but the rest, and more is certainly a problem for many new growers. Grow Buddy not only calculates how much supplies you'll need, it'll estimate an approximate time your mushrooms will reach adult hood, the approximate dry weight of your wet mushrooms and even lets you track yields and print reports.
Not sure how much brown rice flour and vermiculite to use in those jars, newbie grower?
No sweat, just tell Grow Buddy how many jars you want to make and it will tell you exactly how much of what you'll need to make them. Don't risk using formulas that are different everywhere you go and can be easily messed up, just enter in a single number and you're on your way.
Users can also calculate how long their mushrooms will take to mature by entering in one of the three separate values. They can choose from either substrate used, temperature of the environment or relative humidity of the environment. The program then calculates an approximate number of days it will take to mature fully and be ready for harvesting. This is an extremely useful feature for people inexperienced in growing who often get in impatient waiting for their mushrooms to, um, "blossom".
After you've harvested your mushrooms and just can't wait the three days to dry them to get the dry weight, enter in the wet weight of your mushrooms into Grow Buddy and get a dry weight estimation accurate within 99.99% Just use your imagination to realize how useful this can be.
So now thanks to Grow Buddy you're just in love with growing "magic" mushrooms and can't stop? Well then don't. Use Grow Buddy's built in yield tracker to log all of your flushes for your grows and even print out reports. This is great if you wish to experiment with different set-ups and variations with temperature, substrates and humidity levels to optimize your grow sessions.
Newbie grower's rejoice-you just got another great aid in psilocybin mushroom cultivation. Be sure to check out http://www.mushroomgrowbuddy.com to check it out.
