Have you just seen an interesting profile and want to begin a conversation but don’t know where to begin? Have you received a response for your ad and you are absolutely delighted but can’t seem to think of any questions to ask? Don’t worry. You are not the only one going through this. Most first timers have little or no clue as to what to ask to pursue a conversation. Given below are some simple questions that can help you not to only communicate with your probable date but also make a great impression!

Start with the basics

Like with any initial conversation you can ask about:

o The place from where the date is from.

o What his/her hobbies are.

o What does he/she do for a living?

o What is the kind of music he/she enjoys?

o Is she/he an indoor or outdoor person?

o Does he/she enjoy reading books or watching television more?

o What would he/she want to know more about him/her?

Now, you can get imaginative

Once the basic questions are dealt with you are more confident to probe further and start a more secure and personal conversation. But do remember to not get too personal. After all, it is your first date and you don’t want your date scurrying for cover by your volley of questions. Leave some room for response while you answer too. Music, Movies, Television, Sports and Books gives you a lot of scope for having an entertaining conversation. So, here goes:

o Ask him/her his favorite type of music or musician. It could also be the last music album that he/she have seen or heard. You never know, you might even share his/her type of music. That can lead to more communication.

o Which is the sport he would like to watch and the one he would like to play? Those are two different questions as some sports are great watching while others can be enjoyed more playing.

o Most people like to watch television either daily or weekly. Ask him/her which one helps him/her chill out?

o Which was the book read last? Then, discuss about the book you read and whether you liked it or not.

o What kind of movies does your date like? Action/Comedy/Thriller?

o Do you have pets? What animals do you like? Ask the second question if your date is inclined to talk about animals otherwise just move on to some other question or topic.

o What does he/she do in her/his spare time?

o What does he like to wear at home?

There are several other questions that can be asked. Don’t worry. As you begin talking – asking questions and answering your date’s and your queries you will find that you have made a flying start and don’t need to wonder about thinking up of any questions. Communication becomes child’s play so to say!

Free online dating helps create several relationship which are built using the communication tools: singles chat, email and video etc.
