In my younger days, I thought it was possible to be perfect. Now I am glad there is no such thing as perfection.
There are only limitless possibilities.
I am glad that I’ll never know my ‘best’ at anything. Sounds strange, but it’s true. One of my favorite writers, Goethe, said ‘To be pleased with one's limits is a wretched state.’ So, I figure, if I’ve reached my ‘best’ at something, I’ve reached my limit.
I don’t ever want to feel limited. Can’t imagine you do either.
Once you accept that you’ll never know your ‘best’, you have opened an important door in your consciousness. All of a sudden, you realize that there are limitless possibilities before you. And they are just like outer space.
We don’t know where the stars, suns and galaxies end. We don’t know where the end of space is. All we know is that everything in our spectacular universe is moving toward something.
So why do so many people limit themselves? Because they want to be perfect. First of all, perfection is an illusion. And second of all, wanting to be perfect means you’re not focusing on living Right Now.
How do you feel now? If life is good, you’ll keep striving. If you’re bogged down with craving an unreachable state of perfection, you’re Not in a state of rest. You’re most likely anxious and worried.
What I suggest is that you forget about the future and only focus on what you can do right now. That will allow you to breathe deeply and enjoy today. And once you enjoy today, your tomorrows will unfold effortlessly.
Suddenly the pursuit of perfection will be all but forgotten as you marvel at how beautiful life really is.
You might want to ask yourself, what you’re moving toward.
Are you procrastinating about your future or are you moving forward towards a goal? Does every challenge strike you as an opportunity or as an excuse to stop moving.
When you keep moving forward, you will undoubtedly reap the rewards of accomplishment and prosperity. And always remember this:
Everything real was once only a possibility before having actual existence.
Once we see our life as a series of limitless possibilities the world is our oyster. No barriers, no doctrines, no rules - nothing will keep us from creating the life we want for ourselves and our loved ones.
Create your limitless life now.
