Organic makeup and cosmetics are exactly what they sound like. These beauty products, like organic produce, foods and dairy products, are made completely free of anything "synthetic" or man made. They are made of environmentally friendly, pure earth-made ingredients, and a new and younger generation who is more environmentally and health conscious is just eating them up, so to speak.
Not only are many companies claiming to be selling you with organic skin care products that have carbon in them, but they are also claiming that their products are organic if they only have 40% of organic materials. What are are all the other elements of their product? Take a guess. You might be asking why they do this. My only guess is, for the money. If you have a product that makes millions of dollars and now the public wants something natural to protect themselves from the exposure to chemicals, these companies can't replace the fragrance and feel of the product by making it organic. So what they do is a combination. To me this seems a little like lying. Lying to your customers. Lying to the people that trust you.
That is where I come to organic skin care products, such as organic makeup, organic shampoo, organic soap, organic deodorant and many other products. They are cheaper. How might you ask? Because long term exposure to chemical products can cause serious illness. We all know this. What we don't realize is that we are exposing ourselves in small doses each and every day to chemicals. What does that mean? Medical bills. We all know and are scared of getting sick because we know the cost of medical care. So long term exposure to chemicals, even though in small doses can make your and your family sick. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but what about in 10 years from now. Then it might be too late.
There are other benefits to using organic cosmetics and skin care as well. For example, the less chemicals and artificial products that are contained in your skin care products, the less of a chance you will have an allergic reaction to them. Many people have found that certain cosmetics have triggered asthmatic reactions that are no longer triggered when using organic makeup.
The problem is that even if something is labeled as 'organic' or 'natural', it may not be. Something that claims to have 100% organic essential oils could have non-organic agents in it such as emulsifiers, preservatives and foaming agents and only the essential oils are organic, usually because there are no organic equivalents to them. 'Natural' can be anything from all natural ingredients to one natural extract in amongst a collection of many chemicals and otherwise un-natural ingredients. It is used as a very loose term and shouldn't be readily believed.
People that have skin problems can benefit most from these products. Even with acne, allergies, rosacea and other skin irritations can now use organic makeup for them. Mostly, it will now have the adverse reactions that most makeup does. With it, the people that have started to use them have now had clearer skin and removed the irritations; it is because the natural ingredients that composes of these makeups. There may be many products that say about being purely organic; this is not usually the case.
