One of many newer, more uniquely designed clubs on the market, the TaylorMade Burner Driver features yet another special club head shape, weight distribution, forgiveness, and a solid pricetag to boot. Look out for this one, because it follows exactly what consumers are looking for today. As TaylorMade Golf aimed for, this one is great for the average player who can spend average money, but you'll be getting much more than you paid for.

This TaylorMade driver is shaped like a bullet; it's really not that uncommon to find some pretty interesting designs on the club head these days. The bullet shape introduces two special qualities. The center of gravity is moved down and back, which increases height and distance in each shot. A high moment of inertia decreases spin, forgiving any small mistakes. The 460cc head of the Burner still maximizes potential on each hit, miss or not.

The TaylorMade Burner Driver has an interesting aspect to it: the 45.5" shaft. It's only half an inch longer than most other drivers (the industry averages 45" shafts), but the difference is clear. This driver launches farther than many people expect. Some golfers will not adjust to the extra length and unique shapes of this driver, but TaylorMade designed it so any doubts that arise from playing off of feel will be balanced in distance. This is sure to prove well for anyone who need time to get used to newer drivers. You'll be hitting farther and straighter than you have been with the Burner.

Another common characteristic that most look for is the price tag. It's the common consumerist mindset that leads many to look for a relatively inexpensive driver that shoots and feels pretty well, but that is usually hard to find. However, TaylorMade Golf has accomplished just that. The Burner costs half as much as some other brand-name drivers (albeit they do provide nicer shots and more control). This driver is highly regarded as a well-made driver that definitely will not break the bank.

Overall, the TaylorMade Burner Driver gets a 3.83 out of 5. Surprisingly, it doesn't receive the highest of marks. It is expected that, despite these ratings, you will receive a great value with this driver. It does not hit as well as some of the better ones (hence the rating), but it is much better than your average driver and should keep your shots in line. Beginners will have a relatively forgiving time at the driving range. TaylorMade has once again put out a solid driver that is great for all levels of players. Have fun with this one; the unique features are bound to keep you driving away at the range.
