How To Control Panic Attacks: A Panic Cure Strategy

When studying the different programs and methods for panic anxiety treatment we noticed a general lack of distinction between two sets of programs. The first set includes programs that show us how to control panic attacks. The second set includes programs that help us cure panic totally.
Let us first talk about the programs that show us how to control panic attacks. These programs or methods give steps to control an attack when it happens. Therefore, these steps are to control the event itself. These programs are not meant as total cure.
The second set target the root problem and their objective is to relieve the sufferer from panic completely. Such programs when implemented are meant to decrease the frequency of the attacks gradually until they completely disappear.
It is useful here to describe how medication falls into this picture. The medication effect does not wait until an attack strikes. The medication suppresses the anxiety physical symptoms and accordingly the sufferer would feel stronger and in control.
The disadvantage of medication lies in the fact that once the patient stops taking them, the effect as well disappears and the symptoms would hit back.
If an anxiety nature cure is to be sought then a combination of the two sets need to be taken. That might be conducted in phases.
The first phase would be to show the patient steps – that are based on scientific research – how to control panic attacks. Once the patient has mastered these steps and has become able to control and prevent the attacks, then we can move to the second phase.
The second phase would be to implement a method – again based on scientific research – that would reprogram what the brain perceives as fearful or threatening circumstances and situations. Once this is completed successfully the patient would be totally relieved of panic attacks.
In the previous paragraph it is easy to notice our repetition of the term "based on scientific research." This is a very important factor when choosing an anxiety attacks treatment.
As we have mentioned earlier that there are a lot of programs and methods around, unfortunately a significant portion of those are not based on any science. Many depend on promoting simple relaxing exercises as panic cures.
It is very important that when we adopt a panic anxiety treatment that we know for sure that is a credible and effective treatment. We should not get affected by the marketing language used by those who promote the programs. A person can conduct a simple research to find reviews and feedback from users to be able to make a decision on a certain program.
We do not want to be misunderstood when we mention the marketing language. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just that there is an offer that has a true core, and there is another that has nothing to offer except for empty claims.
