There are millions of people around the world who make MySpace a part of their daily lives. It has been used as a way to locate people you haven’t seen in years, form a network of like-minded individuals for business purposes, get noticed by music industry insiders, launch a career, share videos and photos with family and friends, and even more!

Your MySpace profile is the first thing that people see when they decide they want to find out more about you. This is why MySpace members spend so much time adding and removing graphics, backgrounds, songs, cursors, and various codes to and from their profile. They are striving to have the perfect profile, although such a thing probably does not exist! Perfect is in the eye of the beholder, and there are some awfully interesting profile pages to be seen on MySpace.

It doesn’t take long to change an item or items on your profile. In fact, in just a few moments of time, you can change the appearance of a profile so drastically that it will be unrecognizable as the same one you viewed previously. Users normally do not make such extreme changes unless they are changing the layout, in which case they are merely swapping around some code by copying and pasting. When they preview their changes, and see what could only be termed a big mess, then they know that they got hold of some bad code. Or, if they typed in the code themselves, they figure that they must have transposed a letter or a number – maybe both.

Always make sure you preview any changes that you make to your MySpace profile! The preview function is there for a reason, and it’s to keep you from sending your profile to the Land of No Return. In other words, once you click on Save Changes, there’s no going back. Don’t make changes by not checking them out first, the way that so many users have discovered is not a very good idea. Otherwise, you just might end up having to start your profile all over again – from scratch!

It is amazing at the depth with which you can make changes to your profile. You can even change the colour of the text if you like. MySpace does make some of the text you see when you first start to build a profile appear as a default. The words such as "About Me" and "Who I’d Like To Meet" in an orange-coloured text, as well as "Movies", "Television", and "Heroes" in a blue-coloured text will all appear before you start adding and deleting to/from your profile.

It seems that those last 3, "Movies", "Television", and "Heroes" are a bit harder for some people to remove than others. There is a code available that will hide this text for you. Copy and paste the following into the "About Me" section of your profile.

.lightbluetext8 {display:none;}table table table table td {width:0px;}.contactTable td, table table td.text table td,table table table table table td {width:auto;}

This will hide the words from the left side. However, the cells will be there. If you would like to have a one column interests table, try this code, copied and pasted into the "About Me" section.

tr td tr td tr td tr td tr td {width:0px;padding:0px;}

table table table table td{width:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;}

span.lightbluetext8{display:none;}

And, this code will hide the Interests table completely.

.interestsanddetails{display:none;}

You should be able to make the blue text in your Interest table hide for good with the use of these three codes!
