A common question people ask is if they trend trade, can they earn a living. Generally, the answer will be yes, but don't quit your regular job without taking these things into account.

What does "earning a living" mean to you? Some people might be happy making $60,000 a year but others will want to make millions of dollars.

The second thing to think about is how much you can and are willing to invest. You will make more money, if you invest more money. So, your annual income will be higher.

Investments are always a risk so be prepared to lose just as easily as you could gain. Everyone tries to make a profit, but many people fail.

You must take the amount of time you can spend tracking trends into consideration New traders should seek out other sources of information, such as books, seminars, and discussions with other investors. "Knowledge is power" is true in this case also.

Recent software has enabled those with minimal experience to follow the trends and make good trading decisions. But the software costs money and, of course, learning how to use it takes time. So, that is something else to think about.

You won't have to quit your day job in order to start trading the money that you want to invest. Monitoring every hour is not needed as this isn't day-trading.

Positions are held for months and even years if trends are followed. People generally have the job from about three to six months.

Although trading takes time, you do not have to be chained to a computer 24/7. The most successful of investors often can manage their trades in a very short given period of time in twenty four hours.

So it doesn't get in the way of their lives. Trades can be made pretty much anywhere with today's technology.

In your lifetime, the activity that will provide you the most stimulation is definitely not Trend Trading. The most successful traders ignore their emotions. The nerve-wracking thing is watching peaks and valleys daily.

You can identify the length of time to hold a position without selling it. Its okay if you still need to work a normal day job , it will give you a regular weekly paycheck . Trend trading is not a full time job.
