Lynda Carter’s inclusion, although in just one episode, on the action-adventure show Smallville has been much anticipated. The American actress, popularly known for her portrayal of a superhero icon during the 70 ’s has long established her image as a heroine for more than three decades now.
Smallville, a sci-fi television series, follows the adventures of the young Clark Kent (portrayed by Tom Welling) who resides in Smallville, Kansas.
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the show has been nominated and has won numerous awards in a variety of categories, which includes Best Network Television Series. In addition, the show consists of a swarm of talented actors who have also garnered several awards such as Michael Rosenbaum’s Best Supporting Actor and Tom Welling’s Choice Breakout Star to name a few.
Staring on "Progeny," the eighteenth episode of Smallville’s season six, gives Carter the opportunity to once again surface on the television loop.
In the past, she portrayed a number of heroine-like characters, which further launched her heroic image. Of course, much her valiant stardom and fame is attributed to her legendary Wonder Woman portrayal on the series of the same name. In Smallville however, she brings life to the character of Moira Sullivan, Chloe Sullivan’s mother.
Chloe, known as the cousin of Lois Lane and best friend to Clark Kent, will soon face her nowhere to be found mother in the said episode, which will released on April 12. The distinct episode also explores the grounds of her long disappearance.
Moreover, her guest inclusion on Smallville, although as a normal character person and not a superhero, also arouses many speculations regarding the integration of other superheroes from the Justice League in the plot of Smallville. Just like in the previous 11th episode of Smallville’s season six called "Justice," other superheroes like the Green Arrow, is incorporated to the show, which positively boosted rating and garnered a 9.8 rating on TV.Com. But viewers will just have to stick by the rest of the season to find out if there’s truth to the lingering buzz.
