One wrong thing about some christians is that they burdened themselves with the thought that all people they talked to should be converted as christians. It may be a very noble christian act to be but the fact is that we can't save all people.
As christians, it is good to have that passion to share the gospel (the Word of God) specially we are called to make disciples of all nations. According to Matthew 28:19, Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.".
Whether we like it or not, we are ought to share to good news to every people we know. But we as people are limited to what we can share. I still remember when I was a child every time my father talks to us about salvation, that they can't save us but our faith can. What does this mean? It simply means that each individual will held liable for themselves. No one can save their friends, family, relatives, officemates, even churchmates.
All we can do is to share the Gospel and the love of God. As christians, we should not force a person to accept Christ as their Saviour. From our experiences in the church ministry, those individuals who are forced to received salvation are the ones who first retract from their faith. Why? It because they did not have the best foundation in Faith.
In accepting Jesus, it is better that a person decides for himself without the influence of the person sharing the gospel. Sometimes, I prefer just to share the word and leave the decision for themselves. They could simply pray when they arrived their houses or destinations.
For me, I stick to the thought that I can't really save people even though I want to. We are all limited to the things we can do.
Always Remember:
We can't save people, but we can always give them reasons to be saved by sharing the gospel and the love of God. In reality, even though we don't share, we can impact the lives of other people by living righteously. People say that "action speaks louder than words". Believe me, our words aren't enough and our lifestyle can preach better of God's love.
Don't Get Tired Of Sharing The Word!
