Whether you want to liven up dull hair color or you want to hide gray hair, hair coloring is a perfect solution to both. It gives hair that extra shine and perk no ordinary shampoo can ever offer. However, there are important things you should remember in hair coloring, as some hair dyes can damage and dry out your hair. You can even be left with a horrible color that you want to wear a hat every time you go out. It can literally make or break you.

This kind of hair dye consists of tiny molecules that enter the hair through the cuticle but do not affect the hairs natural pigmentation. After several washes these molecules, because they are so small, eventually exit the hair shaft leaving your hair as it was before the hair dyeing treatment.

Although colour is suitable for most, short straight hair won't really suit highlights as they can look a bit stripey. On short wavy hair, any types of lights will look striking. To what extent you colour your hair, is the trick behind it all. If you have short hair, then it's advisable to go for an overall colouring of the hair. Your hair certainly has a catchy look since its short and colourful. For long haired individuals, highlighting the hair on certain parts is recommended. But it's all your choice and the way you can carry yourself matters the most. In case of highlighting, you can go for some of the sought after methods like chunking, piecing and low lighting.
