We all know how women become pregnant, and we have heard stories of the birthing process. What goes on during the nine months of a normal pregnancy? Yes, a mother might get morning sickness, stretch marks, and swollen feet. Suddenly, you're tired all the time, and you feel the need to take constant naps, even though your pregnancy isn't even visible yet! Side effects of pregnancy differ dramatically between women, but fatigue is a common complaint. And it is logical that insomnia, a sleep disorder, would evolve from some of these cases.
Pregnancy First Trimester: The first trimester of pregnancy is a stage that passes largely with you being oblivious to the fact that you are even expecting a baby. The first indication that you may be pregnant is usually a missed period and by the time this is noticed, you may be as much as one month gone already. Symptoms like strange cravings for foods and morning sickness maybe quite normal during the initial trimester of pregnancy, but there are a few more symptoms which are quite common to pregnant mothers. Pregnancy Second Trimester: During the second trimester, you and your spouse should continue to see your doctor for prenatal care. Most pregnant women have monthly office visits with their doctor or midwife until the end of this trimester. As you get into the second trimester, it will be apparent to other people that you are pregnant and you will probably feel your baby move for the first time.
Expect a weight gain of between one and two pounds a week; don't worry, most of this will be due to increased blood volume and water retention and the baby itself. Second trimester symptoms. The symptoms at this period of the pregnancy vary a lot from the earlier ones. Though these are common symptoms of pregnancy, it is not necessary that they will happen to every pregnant mother. The mother and baby both will be gaining weight at this time.
Pregnancy Third Trimester: During these last few months, the best thing you can do is continue taking great care of your body, avoid unnecessary stress, and get plenty of sleep. This could be a very uncomfortable time period for you, considering all that's going on within your body. Some things you'll experience include having to urinate frequently due to the baby pressing into your bladder. Week thirty-seven is when your baby is officially considered to be full term.
However, every day the baby stays in the womb makes him healthier. Your baby will develop a definite daily activity cycle. You will also want to get yourself on a regular schedule to get your baby used to this. As always, if you notice any worrying pregnancy symptoms, seek medical attention. Make sure you are prepared for the birth as your baby could arrive any day. Otherwise, set aside plenty of time for those extra check-ups, enjoy your extra boost of energy and watching your baby grow.
