Aloe vera juice also helps to reduce inflammation and can help your arthritis and other joint problems. Unfortunately the taste of 100% pure aloe vera juice isn't always appealing to most. You can add it to juice to help mask the somewhat slimy consistency.

Taking regular exercise is another change that can help, partly because it will help to loosen up your joints. If you suffer with lots of pain then you may be better to concentrate on the more gentle exercises like Pilates and Yoga.

White willow can be taken as an oral supplement, and it can be mixed into a tincture prepared by a herbalist. It can also be used externally, mixed with aloe vera and rubbed onto the affected joints. A teaspoon of black sesame seeds, soaked in a quarter cup of water and kept overnight, has been found to be effective in avoiding joint pains. Do not throw out the water in which the seeds are soaked because that water can also be taken along with the seeds first thing in the morning.

Alfalfa: This is an herb that was originally from Asia, but now it is found in other parts of the world as well including the US. An herbal tea made from this plant with a cup full of water is very effective. However this arthritis treatment should be continued for 2 weeks at least.

Glucosamine comes in liquid and capsules and in dog treats for your pets. It is also part of a whole mix of canine arthritis remedies available online, in pet shops and from your vet.

Omega-3 fatty acids that can be found in some fish like salmon is supposed to help with joint pain that bothers so many people. Now some of these arthritis remedies have worked and others do not seem to be as effective on pain.
