Most people suffer from vanity. Vanity varies from person to person depending on their needs and financial status. Wealthy people buy and undergo procedures to remove their physical imperfections.

Some people use home remedies and herbal preparations because of the lower cost involved. A very common problem that most people need a remedy for is skin problems. The skin is the largest organ in the human body and is therefore prone to more disorders. Acne is the top skin disorder that people will encounter, regardless of their age.

People from all walks of life suffer from acne. Every age group and race is affected. For serious acne a visit to the dermatologist can be very helpful in understanding your acne problem and finding the best way to treat it. Sometimes the doctor will recommend a topical medicine or perhaps even pills you'll have to take to keep your acne under control. For severe acne cases, you may have to have laser treatments such as micro dermabrasion.

These expensive treatments might be fine for some people but not everyone has the resources to afford such treatments. If you can't afford expensive acne treatments you can try some inexpensive herbal or home remedies. What's nice about herbal acne remedies is that they are all natural and don't contain harmful chemicals that can irritate your skin. Actually there are quite a few home remedies you can use to help lessen your acne breakouts.

Here are some products that you probably already have at home that you can use to help clear up your skin.

  1. Oatmeal. This is good for the quick absorption of oils on the skin. Less oil means less skin problems.

  2. Egg Whites. These are rich in protein and will help to sooth and revitalize your skin. Egg whites also absorb extra oil from the skin and makes it less prone to pick up impurities.

  3. Lime or lemon juice. These juices contain citric acid and can be very effective in exfoliating your skin. Exfoliated skin can more easily resist impurities which can cause acne to develop.

  4. Apple cider vinegar. This helps to kill acne causing bacteria. It's one of the better acne home remedies. Apple cider vinegar is great for balancing the skin's pH levels making it less oily.

  5. Tea Tree Oil. This is the most common herbal remedy for acne. It's a great antiseptic. Just apply the tea tree oil to the affected area and it will kill the bacteria on your skin and also protect it.

These are just a few home remedies for acne. There are many more. If these remedies don't work for you, you may want to consult your doctor to see if more drastic steps need to be taken.
