Sweating excessively is certainly a problem of concern. It is medical condition known as hyperhidrosis. Sweating is the process that helps the body to stay cool. It is the natural body process that is being performed by body to maintain the body temperature and regulate the fluid levels in the body. But, in some people have very high levels of perspiration that are being noted in the people. They sweat nearly every time. This type of high perspiration levels leads to the hyperhidrosis. The excessive sweating is being observed not only on the one part of the body. You may notice it on hands, feet, chest, groin, face, and armpits. This disease can further lead to the various serious health complications if the care is being not taken at the preliminary stage.
One of the main reasons through which the excessive sweating occurs is abnormal functioning of the nerves. These nerves are spread all over the body that sends the signal to the brain when body temperature is high and result in the sweating. As they function abnormally it asks the brain to sweat due to the wrong stimuli. Thus, it results into the hyperhidrosis. Sometimes hyperhidrosis is noted to be happening due to the abnormal functioning of the brain. Sweating is controlled by the hypothalamus part of the brain. Due to some abnormalities in the brain the hypothalamus part starts functioning abnormally. This later on leads to the improper functioning of the sweat regulatory functions that makes the person sweat excessively.
Hyperhidrosis is being noted to be happening due to the hereditary in some cases. If any one of your parents is being facing the problem of the excessive sweating then you have double the chances of suffering with the hyperhidrosis. There are about 18% cases reported by the University of Philadelphia of hyperhidrosis resulting due to the hereditary. Obesity or excessive weight gain is being linked to the hyperhidrosis If you are obese then your chances of suffering with the obesity are doubled. Obese people face the problem of hyperhidrosis because the sweat glands need to work doubly hard to let go of all excess minerals stored in the body. The fatter you are the more problem of sweating you will face.
Excessive hot and humid weather may make your sweat glands permanently damaged. As the excessive hot temperature puts the stress on the skin and sometimes even burns it. This way the sweat glands are damaged and the uncontrolled liquid flow starts. For this you must cover your skin whenever you are out in the sunlight. This will help your sweat glands from getting damaged. Diabetes is also noted to be boosting the hyperhidrosis. The exact reason behind this is still not confirmed but many diabetic patients are facing the problem of hyperhidrosis.
Doing the exercise more rigorously makes your skin pores open and you face the problem of the excessive sweating. This is only the one disadvantage of excessive exercising. Hyperthyroidism is another abnormal health condition that can result in the hyperhidrosis. Excessive activity of the thyroid results in the damaging of the sweating process. This way the control mechanism that controls the sweating is being affected. Thus, the person suffers with the excessive sweating. Damage to the skin that results in the skin lesions also damages the sweat glands the person sweats a lot due to this. Sometimes the occurrence of the hyperhidrosis is being linked to the puberty and menopause. But, this type of the hyperhidrosis is noted generally in teenagers. But, in many cases hyperhidrosis is being noted to be temporary.
