The art of stand up paddling is actually relatively simple and this sport does not actually require a lot of equipment. All you really need for this sport is a large ten foot surfing board and a paddle. That is actually pretty much it! The equipment ranges in price between one thousand American dollars and one thousand five hundred American dollars. If you are going to try the sport for the first time it is possible to hire the equipment. It costs between forty and sixty American dollars.
Stand up paddling is not really a very expensive sport when you compare it to things such as water skiing, and this is a nice way to get out and enjoy the water in a rather economical way.
