You have always wanted a new car and today you actually did it. You went out and purchased your very first car, but you know nothing about the windscreen that you will always be looking out of when you are driving.

The car windscreen was put there to protect you from getting hit with pebbles or anything else that might hit it. If a rock does happen to hit it then you will be left with a chip or a crack. This can be repaired rather easily by you purchasing a kit to do it or you can hire a professional to do the repairs for you.

If you do not address the chip or crack in the car windscreen immediately then you run the risk of it spreading. If it happens to spread then the screen will need to be replaced because now your vision is impaired which can cause an accident. The windscreen can be replaced by you but it is very time consuming if a person has not done one before. If it is not replaced properly you could get air rushing in or even rain could come on the inside of your car. The best suggestion on replacing the windscreen is call a professional so it gets done correct the first time and you will not have to worry about getting wet while you are driving to work.

The car windscreen needs to be kept clean at all times so you are able to see properly. If the outside becomes dirty you can get some glass cleaner, cloth and some white vinegar. Spray the glass cleaner on and hose it back off then dry with your cloth. When you have the windscreen all dry take a little white vinegar and place it on a clean cloth. Then rub the cloth on the screen this helps to make sure everything is off and also helps to keep any haze away.

The inside of the windscreen will also need cleaned sometimes. Get some glass cleaner and a dry cloth. Spray the cleaner on the screen and immediately rub back off in a circular motion. If there is a lot of build up on the inside then it is best to clean it with white vinegar and newspapers. The inks in the newspapers grab things better so they will adhere and it also helps in making streak free vision. Remember to wind down your windows a little so it may air back out for a little bit.

In the winter time make sure to have a can of deicer in the trunk with an ice scraper. By using both of these properly and together you will be able to remove any ice rather quickly and be ready to go on down the road.

Enjoy your new car and make sure to take care of the windscreen. If taken care of properly it will last you for the life of your car.
