There are a variety of colors in which French bulldogs are born. It is a wonderful thing in itself to see the dogs vary with interesting colors. There are puppies or adult dogs to be liked by everyone with respect to the color it is in. Puppies or adult dogs in particular colors are pleasing to the eyes and they are a wonder in themselves. Assortment of colors has a disadvantage too. That is the oblivion of what name a particular color of dog should be called. Only little effort is needed to learn the colors of them and their corresponding names. There are a variety of colors but they can be learnt for sure. If you are a lover of dogs then you can pick up the names to corresponding colors within minutes. They are lovable and smart creatures which are competitive breed too.

They are bought by people all over the world. They are loved by almost all dog lovers. In the Unites States these dogs are petted with great joy. The most seen color of these types of dogs seen in the USA and Canada are Cream, Brindle and some other colors. Brindle is further split into various types. There are Dark Brindle, Tiger Brindle, Brindle Pied and Fawn Brindle. They are the basic colors in which French dogs are available. Register this in your mind if you intend to own a pet dog in any significantly different color. Unusual colors of French dogs will be available only after few years down the line. But don’t take colors as they are because there are breeders who misinterpret the colors and match the wrong color name to the dogs. This results in great confusion. Therefore color names differ from breeder to breeder. The breeder’s own opinion takes the upper hand here. Breeders call "fawn pied" as "honey pied" and more.

The small companion breed dog knows little about man’s ways of calling him. But it is necessary to differentiate your dog correctly. How is it if we call a "horse" as a "cow", and a "cow" as a "horse"? The same applies here too.

  1. Sea Brindle – French bulldogs that are black in color with brownish hue are called as Sea Brindles. They are the costliest.

  3. Cream - French bulldogs with a coat of pale cream color is called as Cream. There are various creams from deep amber to butterscotch and palest gold. The color is a dilute of Fawn without the masking gene.
