Stress and anxiety can cause a lot of havoc in your life if you do not learn to manage it. Anxiety can be overwhelming and put stress on your work and personal relationships, and cause you to be less productive at work. It can even make you reclusive and irritable. You don't have to feel this way.

Take regular breaks from the firing line. Working hard without regular breaks is a great way to build up stress and tension. Make sure you have at least one 15-minute break in the morning and one in the afternoon as well as at least 20 minutes for lunch. If possible, eat lunch away from your workstation.

One of the best ways to manage stress in the workplace is to take interval breaks frequently. This means that you must try to give yourself a short break for approximately every 15 minutes or so and allow yourself space and time to relax and calm your body, mind and soul.

Massage therapy, as a general rule is a great way to loosen your muscles. A massage therapist targets muscles and tendons that help you loosen up and relax. When a therapist gives you a full body massage, this allows you to get your mind in sync with your body, as it relaxes under the massage sensation.

If you are stressed at the office because of a heavy workload or a tight deadline, there are simple ways that can provide office stress relief without you leaving your desk. First, sit up straight and roll your shoulders slowly forward and then backward for six times each. Move your wrists in a circular motion for 30 seconds.

Add Strawberries to your daily diet. This may sound like a weird request but strawberries are an energy producing food in more ways than one. Stress drains your mind, weakens the immune system and wreaks havoc on your ability to concentrate, which means you have problems getting things done. Strawberries are anti-oxidants packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, folic acid, potassium and beta-carotene.

Laugh

It may sound like an old cliche but laughter really is the best medicine. In fact, as writer Anna Fellows Johnston pointed out, "Remember, men need laughter sometimes more than food." So watch a funny movie, ring up a friend who always makes you laugh or recall an old memory that brings a smile to your face whatever tickles you and gets you laughing.

Fruits like oranges, sweet lemons or limes have ample amount of Vitamin C, which is fantastically good for relieving stress. One can also consume them in the form of juice. Stuffs like oatmeal and cornflakes are always good for our health, they act as a strong antigen against stress and give us back our strength and charm.
